Our unique approach

At The Write Time we use Choice Theory to empower students to take control of their learning and personal growth. Each student follows a personalised learning pathway, supported by mentoring and therapeutic programmes. Our small class sizes are led by a qualified teacher and a Learning Development Tutor, ensuring that every learner receives the focused, individual attention they need.

It is a privilege to welcome you to The Write Time Independent School. We believe that every young person deserves a safe and inspiring space to learn, grow, and reach their full potential. At The Write Time, our team is dedicated to supporting every child academically, personally, and emotionally, so they can thrive both in school and in life.

As the first Glasser School in the UK, we pride ourselves on supporting our pupils using Choice Theory and Reality Therapy as the keys to unlock their potential and achieve their very best. At The Write Time, our dedicated and experienced staff ensure that every pupil follows a bespoke curriculum, one that marries specialist support to an appropriate curriculum that has been purposefully planned to achieve individual goals in academic, vocational and personal development – staff teams focus on EHC targets and ensure that every pupil has access to therapeutic input that meets individual special needs. 

Our curriculum is tailored to each student’s needs, incorporating specialist SEN support, vocational opportunities, and a wide range of qualifications including GCSEs, Functional Skills, and vocational awards.

Our spacious and safe school site enriches our curriculum offer, providing airy learning spaces that enable pupils to fully engage in learning that is experiential, progressive and fully supported by our therapeutic curriculum. The school layout encourages our pupils to feel nurtured, accepted and empowered to take on new challenges throughout their learning journey and be prepared to take their next steps as well-rounded citizens, ready to integrate into society.
