Headteacher's Welcome
Samantha Hoyer

It is a privilege to welcome you to The Write Time Independent School. We are more than just an Independent Special School, we are a creative, safe and inspiring learning environment where our pupils feel listen to, valued and are provided with the necessary tools to grow and reach their full potential.
As the first Glasser School in the UK, we pride ourselves on supporting the pupils using Choice Theory and Reality Therapy as keys to unlock their potential and achieve their best. This is because our dedicated and experienced staff ensure that every pupil has a bespoke curriculum, according to their special needs, where each child can work towards achieving GCSEs and Functional Skills based qualifications in the core curriculum areas – English, Maths, Science and IT – and in the foundation subjects.
Our spacious site enriches our curriculum offer and allows the pupils to engage in explorational learning supported by our therapeutic curriculum. This encourages our pupils to feel nurtured, accepted and empowered to take on new challenges through their journey with us at The Write Time, to graduate as well-rounded citizens ready to integrate into society.
It is The Write Time to book a tour of our stimulating and creative school, where the pupils benefit from excellent teaching, learning and assessment opportunities. Come and have a look for yourself as ‘Your future starts now.’
“This school is the best thing that has ever happened to our family.”

Are You Ready for
Something Better?
Our school’s ethos and culture are based on William Glasser’s Choice Theory and Reality Therapy. As students learn about Choice Theory, they begin to think more deeply about why they do what they do and begin to adjust their behaviour to get what they really want out of every single day. This results in a more fulfilling life.
